Hey all, I found a nice HQ pic of the concept art and I started to use it for my wallpaper...I noticed that there is a child on the wallpaper, not a taru, or new race that could be small, but a hume child... What If part of the growth was starting out as a Child and working your way to adult hood?

The only problem I see with this is, "Well what about old age?" "Will you grow up and die?"

Well I came up with 2 ideas for this;

1. You grow up to adult hood, and that's it. The "Main" story end's there, but there can still be room for new missions or quests, your character's groth isn't shown past adult hood though.

2. I loved playing "Digimon world 1" for the playstation back in the day. The way this worked was when your Digimon grew up and died of old age, you got a new one, it's child.. but you kept all the stats, so negetive karma or evil, I don't remember what they called it, decided what kind of path you could choose.

The only problem with number 2 is that it forces your character to have a child, if your Role playing I guess it would be out of character.. Also I think it's a little far fetched but interesting none the less....

Anyone have thoughts on this?

It's theoretically possible that they are creating an adoption mechanic like in Ragnarok Online, but I should hope not.

It's probably just an NPC. MMOs playing with the concept of age, tend to be akward. So let's hope not, IMO.

EDIT: Digimon World 1 was awesome, shame the game design hasn't been repeated, it would definitely be enjoyable to see the same concept used again (preferably in a game that is less marred with glitches)

Maybe after I play for a while my wife could start a character and start as a 5 year old girl. Then we could get married in-game. This could have the potential to be more disturbing than a galka marrying a taru.

well if your gonna be silly... It would be like FF11, you can't get married until a certian lvl... in FF14, it would be a certian "growth level."
