It's too easy for the consumer to have both the mac os and windows on the same computer for some companies to justify spending the money to port things to mac, I think.

i am going to say this before someone else does... why?

It is not worth most companies time or effort to waste resources going to an OS that a lot of the people who have it... don't play games. If you bought an apple just because you are a mindless consumer otherwise you would know, in order to have something else you give something up.

Most people who buy apples buy it because it has great video software and tons of other powerful software they usually don't buy apples to play games.

To develop for PS3 developers utilize OpenGL, Macs, Linux and even Windows support OpenGL. It's just that Microsoft pushes it's own DirectX onto developers in order to prevent them from using open standards that would allow development on multiple platforms.

For example WoW for PC uses DirectX but WoW on Mac OS X utilizes OpenGL for it's graphics.

For PS3 development SE will already have to have OpenGL support, it comes down to compiling, debugging and optimizing for the intended platform.

Dual boot with the Intel chip Apple? Now I might be tempted to buy a Apple themed FFXIV game system.

Stop being lazy and just use boot camp.

It's not cost efficient for SE, or even Blizzard to code for OSX.

I hate gaming on my mac... Plus, a custom built PC for gaming needs is overall inexpensive (at least for FFXI standards).

2. Install Windows XP via Parallel Desktop ***** Vista to ****)
3. Install a MacOS Leopard Skin onto Windows XP
4. Install FFXIV onto Windows XP
5. Run Parallel Desktop in Coherence Mode
6. ???

Seriously.

EDIT: Oh I wonder if FFXIV will work for XP, or if it will only work on Vista? That would be sad D:

Blegh. Mac fanboys are annoying. But Mac haters are annoying too.

The MacOS is very nice. It's Unix based... And in many ways, it is essentially a very well polished Linux.

Pretty much this. Or Parallel Desktop as I'd recommend, since duel-booting can be annoying, and I like coherence mode so much.

Did I forget to mention stupid too? My mistake. They are annoying and stupid. And by "they," I mean both the fanboys and haters.
