I think this was posted somewhere else, but I don't remember if it was here. Basically, I'd like each class to have a few "rare" skills/spell. Something along the lines of "Oh, me and my LS just killed Tiamat, and now my Blm buddy can cast Meteor".Well, Not exactly like that, but something along those lines. Maybe a quest line involving a solo BC and your reward is casting Ultima, or using Tachi: Pwnage.
I also think it'd be nifty if there were two "rare" skills, and taking one locked the other. For instance, my **** Samurai picked up "Tachi: Pwnage", and now he can't learn "Tachi: Limp Noodle" 'cause he'd look girly. And someone else's not so **** Samurai learned "Tachi: Limp Noodle" 'cause he thought "Tachi: Pwnage" would cause him to break a nail. But at the same time, they should be useful in each situation. Tachi: Pwnage could remove that pesky mountain blocking you from your quest objective, whereas Tachi: Limp Noodle would amuse the townsfolk which would complete another quest.
After reading this, I guess what I'm looking for are merited job abilities that involved a quest or maybe killing an HNM. Just something to distinguish between my **** Samurai, and all those DOMARUUUUUUUUUUUU sam's abilities, aside from raw damage, I'd like to have two of the same classes, each with a unique ability that shows they had worked for something. Something flashy would be cool.
Also, in my defense, this post probably isn't very well hashed out, but it's 4:58 AM, and I'm trying to finish my download without falling asleep.
