I was just wondering about the kinds of enemies people would like to see in FF14? Perhaps enemies from older games in the series or enemies from other games?

I'd quite like to see some tribute-esque enemies introduced from FF11 randomly too (though not overdone, I really dont want to be playing the same game in HD, great as FFXI is)perhaps like the mandragora from 11 surfaced in 12 (or at least in the demo thing i played).

Any thoughts?

Skeletons (or some other undead)

I'd also expect them to add stuff we haven't seen yet.

Krakens (since there's talk of pirates and a sea city!)
Goblins (They have to be here by default.)
Bombs (Have to be here by default.)
Naga/Lamia (Yeah..)
Cactuars in their original lack of animation frames glory
Quadavs (I dunno..would feel so odd not having them to beat up on/get owned by as I first explore the area outside the starting city)

Dunno his image was reported

Yes this time we need some OG Cactuar plz and not that doll crap (dunno why they even changed it so drastically). Malboros and Tonberrys need to also get there original look back with HD graphics.

Ummm well I would like to see some kind of snowman mage mob or maybe a succubus. Ohh hopefully they can make there corpse mobs look scaryish.

My channel with FFXI battle music and hard to find songs that were not even released on Original Soundtracks.

I also plan on uploading FFXIV music when the game is released.

More crabs.

And in a lot of different colors.

Actually, no. I don't want to see another crab for as long as I live.
I would like to see more undead enemies to be honest.

Since the setting appears to be more futuristic than medieval maybe we'll see non-living enemies or artificial enemies. Like robots or machina or something?
I don't remember if there were any in FFXI, but I think it would be a nice addition.

EDIT: And more things with wings and big claws.

Toasting makes me uncomfortable. But toast I love. Never start the day without a good piece of toast. In fact, let's toast to toast.

The classic throwbacks, I'd like to see.

But I'm more concerned with them actually making the enemies different and challenging. Mobs in XI were mostly all the same and didn't require unique strategies. I'm hoping even different mobs of the exact same type will have completely different AI.

Never confuse your inference as the listener for an implication of the speaker.

Good games are subjective like good food is subjective. You're not going to seriously tell me that there's not a psychological basis for why pizza is great and lutefisk is revolting. The thing about subjectivity is that, as subjects go, humans actually have a great deal in common.
