I'm reluctant to give this a thread of it's own but I figure it might be a problem a lot of people are having.

When the FFXIV teaser site first went up we all had a chance to register. A lot of people said they recieved some sort of confirmation. I didn't but didn't think much of it. Now I read that people are recieving a newsletter and I'm still not recieving anything. I tried to reregister but the site says I am already registered.

How many people are in my shoes? Normally I wouldn't care but if this is how Beta is selected I most certainly would like to know I'm actually registered. Anyway, if it's a common problem we should probably all send a message to SE and let them know what's up.

Yep same thing happened to me. I also didnt want to make a thread about it. I did choose to use a different e-mail and it seems to work fine.

Edit: I did not get a confirmation e-mail on the first one I tried and it said I was registered.

The notice for the update a couple of hours ago was the first "newsletter" I had received.

The only thing before that was the confirmation of my email.

The less people on it is better for me... ;)

I had this problem too. Some people were receiving e-mails from SE that I wasn't.

I figured maybe it was just hotmail.com, since, for some reason, hotmail blocks a lot of e-mails from a lot of different websites. (Some sites say "Note to hotmail.com users..." etc.

Nevertheless, I registered 3 different e-mails addresses this time just to be safe.

I received the newsletter.

Now I need to find out how to make my ancient cell phone notify me when I receive an e-mail.

Turns out I registered with two different email addresses and still nothing to either. Guess I'll have to do something about it now...

And of course their support system is crappy enough for me to leave it alone for now.

Just as an update, I created a gmail account so I can re-re-register and I finally got a confirmation email. So gmail seems like a safe way to go.

I just hope they don't base beta on how long you have been registered on their newsletter (like WAR).
