Cool didn't see that, yeah let hope some one can translate that.

You are also hoping for a male Miqo'te or race? I know I am :)

From what I can read it's just the magazine speculating on the picture and asking the question of if there'll be any male mithra. No info.

I don't think there's anything major that hasn't already been reported, but perhaps you'll find a few tidbits if you look closely.

I figured you would all enjoy the images if nothing else. XD

from what i can read :
-the "dragon" guildleve somewhat reads "courage"
-the "crown-guy" seems "candour"
-the "miqo'te" seems "temperance"
-the "archer" seems "tenacity"
-the "orange guy" seems "?eu??ion"(cant read this one)

seems the characters are just somewhat reversed, and few phonetics in the writing too

edit : modified slighty, still can't read the last

I'm not very good at reading Japanese (especially the Kanji), but I looked at the caption asking if that image is of a male miqo'te.

I think the question being raised is: Is this [a picture] of a male Miqo'te?

Then I THINK the interviewers say something along the lines of "In FFXI the only male Mithra was an NPC. Miqo'te will probably be male (? Being asked in the form of a question?...or assuming? Asking in the affirmative?)

To which B (SE?) responds "As of right now they are all female. Although this illustration of a Miqo'te appears to be a male, it is not."

Now, don't get all worked up because my translation can be way way off. I haven't studied hiragana or katakana for a few years and I barely know kanji.

I can't, for the life of me, remember the last kanji (in the Miqo'te caption) right before が.

Even though it feels extremely familiar...like the kind you'd see every day but for some reason I can't place it.
For all I know it could say "It appears to be male and guess what...it is!"

I wish I could get that last kanji...

EDIT: As for the horned guy, I think they are asking if that's a Lalafell. To which B responds "When you look at the CG it appears that there are many things to come. Perhaps FFXI..." and that's where I get lost.

Sorry folks, going to have to wait for a real translator!

(But I don't think that looks like a Lalafell at all)

Edited for several spelling errors.

Brb, commiting suicide.

Also, thank you very much for the translations. Even if they are not perfect, and I still want to hear more to confirm it, thank you for your work, this most likely seems to be the case.

It's 気 for feeling/atmosphere.

Proper translation:

A: FFXI's male Mithra made an appearance as an NPC. How will Miqo'te turn out?
B: As of yet there are only females. But this illustration somehow gives the feeling of being able to see a male.

That page is from Dengeki, and for a good portion of their article they just speculated on various things like male Mithra, the Leviathan sea creature, the "Gria" that's maybe just a Taru w/ SMN horns. So, nothing new.

Thanks Dizmo! With the 'feeling' part in there the sentence makes a lot more sense.
