just occured to me : there seems to be a "hunting" part(mentionned in the miqo'te presentation and the wiki), so...

-how is it different from normal "farming" ?
-souldn't i need to be as a "warrior disciple" to kill the mob ?

i just can't see how to make it work right now... seeing SE seems to want more "realist" helm/craft than it was in ffxi :

-making mob drop spoils like hide only when you're "hunter"... still how can you kill it ? and what would it drop without hunter skill ?(potions ?)

-pillaging dead animal body sounds possible, but that's not much of a hunt, and way too gross(and corpses left rotting instead of "magicaly disapearing" don't seems right in a ff)

-using pieges, i can't see that in a mmo, an equivalent to "mining point" where an animal randomly pop when you check it ? <.< and who'd pose the piege anyway, without being sure someone else wouldn't get the prey while you're putting another piege

so, anyone have ideas how that could work ? how is it in other mmo maybe ?

I think you're grasping at straws with a "hunter" profession

"Skinning" (as the gather profession for leathercrafting) seems the most likely out of what you've mentioned though:

I don't believe in good guys versus bad guys anymore… I only see a plethora of states acting in self interest… with varying ethics and moral standards of course, but self-interest nonetheless

And just like in FFXI, they mean "Ranger."

Thank you, I'll be here all night.
