Economy - Player Driven? Follow

Has anyone seen any posts regarding the economy in FFXIV? One of my hopes is that the economy is not mixed, in the sense that new players will join after another nation (Japan, Germany, etc.) has already developed an expectation on goods/services. Or better yet, ensure that the live date is the same worldwide so everyone has the same advantage. Hopefully this economy is player driven, and realistic!

I can't remember where I read this (so I might be totally wrong) but I believe we were told both that there would be a world wide release and the economy would be player driven. In fact, I'm pretty sure the worldwide release bit was part of the announcement at E3.

RMT I don't beleive will be a major issue since they've recently started to address the issue (excessively I might add). But it was too little too late. I'm sure they'll build in some sort of mechanic to prevent the same disaster from happening again. Really, highly sought after high level player crafted items would curb this anyways. Make the RMT have to work much harder for the reward, rather then camping specific zones/MOBs.
