Character DamageFollow

I would love to see character or equipment damage on your person, visible to all. I would imagine the amount of detail required to do so in XIV would make it virtually impossible though. But man, what better way to get a player immersed in the story than to have them look the part of a rugged warrior or tired mage after a long battle. Resting could perhaps return your character to normal, and armor/clothing would need to be repaired. I can just imagine seeing a whole group of players returning from an area looking like **** ;)

This subject has been brought up many times on this board.

It would be cool.

I just think it would have to be implemented in more offline games before it becomes a reality for online games.

If FFXIII has equipment/character damage, or if a FPS online multiplayer game has it THEN I could consider it something I would care about seeing in a MMORPG.

It is just something for the next-next-gen games, nothing that should be a priority for FFXIV.

It would be cool though.
