There's no need to ask. It'll run on either version.

I'm kind of interested in this question to...

The reason being is that on LOTRO, they, for awhile at least (might be fixed now, I quit awhile back), disabled the maxed out DX10 graphics for 32 bit...

Hopefully it will be FULLY supported for both 64 and 32 bit versions.

Given that the PS3's cell processor is 128-bit, It should support 64 and 32 bit systems.

running on isn't the same as fully taking advantage of. Windows 7 shouldn't even have come in a 32bit version imo.

The Cell processor isn't even remotely the same type of architecture as 32- or 64-bit desktop processors, so please don't draw that kind of comparison.

To answer the OP, it should run on either version. If by 100% you mean it will be able to take full advantage of multi-core processing on a 64-bit OS, that's still an unknown and is likely to remain that way until we actually have the game running on our computers.

It will undoubtidly support Multi Core processors, and seeing as they have the Alpha out now, its probably safe to say they're not expecting us to all have i7's to play.

As for 7, You can probably bank on it supporting Windows 7 and its development features (i.e DX11, Jumplist, Games explorer) since support for XP will be officially and completely be discontinued a year or so into XIV's lifetime, and lets face it, why would they even bother doing it all for Vista? (And no I'm not saying they wont support Vista)

considering you can't even buy a new single core processor with most major OEM's (Desktop or laptop, no netbooks) its sad we're still dealing with mostly single threaded apps still

If you purchase or acquire W7, get the 64-bit version regardless. There is no reason to be getting the 32-bit when there are little to no disadvantages to the 64-bit version.

Good new about windows7 is any disc you purchase comes with 32bit or 64bit. The only difference in prices for windows7 is between business, ultimate, home... etc. When you install, it will ask if you want to install 32bit or 64bit. The reason they included this is that there are some old computers that may not have 64bit processors in them.

Windows 7 is built on top of Vista. There will probaly be no problems playing the game on Vista. Even if Windows 7 wipes Vista off the face of the Earth. (and it will).
