So I realize there are LOTS of things to be excited about for FFXIV, but there's one thing I'm excited about that I have never seen mentioned on here (or maybe I've missed it) that I would like to share:

Come on I can't be the only one excited about this. I for one am running out of things to read in the bathroom.

Here's an alternate:

I'm sure you could already tell from the lack of quality but I just threw these together myself today out of boredom and just thought I would share.

I remember when I decided to play FFXI and had to wait a few weeks until it hit the PS2, I must have read that guide 50 times. Seeing that the game and the guide will be coming out the same time though, I probably won't have much need for it. Strategy guides for MMO's usually lose their value very quickly.

Yea I pretty much only used it to find out what mobs aggroed and linked when I first started playing. Gotta love those job/subjob combinations it suggests!

Guys this is Bradygames we're talking about... are you completely sure they're the ones to trust for specific game-related information?

You don't get a Brady guide for information, you get it for the comical value.

Right, did people forget about how laughable the FFXI Brady guide was? xD. This was purely a joke lol.

It'll have great Final Fantasy XI information, and you know it.

In all honesty the job combos weren't bad, they just weren't zomg 50k an hour combos.

There was some laughbly bad advice in it, but like someone else said, it helped me make macros early on, and if nothing else I say it was money well worth spent just for that. Plus the pictures and 'quick' bios on the various jobs got me excited. In looking back it did do a world of hurt on a couple classes *Cough* BST *Cough* but for the most part it wasn't anything that couldn't be solved a couple patches down the line or made me spot the ignorance of players real quickly XD.

I will buy the next brady guide. It will serve as a great art book and mug place mat if nothing else! (or if you really want to get economical, you can use it as toilet paper if you really hate the new guide!)

Yeah job info was poor but it was good for quest and mob info.
I will buy it to read at work, get what I can from it to get started in game and get a few tips on crafting.

Then when I'm done I'll sell it to an xbox player when they get to start.
