PS3 Slim and FFXIVFollow

Is anyone else concerned that their PS3 Slim may not handle FFXIV for long periods of time? I'm wondering if there will be heating problems from hours of play or not and whether it will run smoothly. Input?

I have yet to see anything about the slim model having heat issues. My brother plays XI on a 360 for 15 hours at a time sometimes and he really hasnt had too many problems, and that system is notorious for over heating. I think the PS3 will be just fine.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. The slim gets really hot but doesn't come close to overheating. Just give it some room to breath and keep away from other electronics that put of a lot of heat. like don't have it stack on top of your reciever put it on the side on on a shelf of its own.

Well, from what comparisons have been made, the Slim is so far more efficient and better at cooling.

In fact, you'd have to worry less about the system over heating, and more about the disc tray wearing out, which, considering each system comes with a HDD included, is unlikely to ever happen, due to it most likely being installed.

So yeaa, there should be no concerns at all, really.
