I've been searching the internet for any news on FFXIV, and I've come across 44,300,000 hits on Google. There's no way I can possibly read through all of that.

Where do you get the most accurate and latest information regarding FFXIV, other than the official website, and Zam?

I've found the most information about Beta in the PS3 forums.

http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=finalfantasy&thread.id=271268

I especially liked the information about Beta testing. It's a great read for those that have never tested a video game before, but would like to give it a shot when the FFXIV Beta application process opens.

Thank you, in advance.

Edit/PS: Zam is my favorite site, by far.

My channel with FFXI battle music and hard to find songs that were not even released on Original Soundtracks.

I also plan on uploading FFXIV music when the game is released.

I just come here and read Elmer's write-ups. You get all the info in one place as well as a place to discuss it with current FFXI players and future FFXIV players.

Hmm I was planning on entering the beta, but after reading that thread I'm not sure I want to. I think that doing all of that stuff might actually spoil some of the fun of the immersion of the game. I like starting out on release day, making a permanent character, and keeping them forever. Beta testing may not be for me after all.

The only negative I can say from beta testing is that if you are in it for quite some time, (a few months) the game possibly will not feel like a new game come the time of retail. Which may possibly ruin the experience at launch.

The thought had crossed my mind, too. I have to think about it.

I always like comparing translations and info. Sometimes the speculation is interesting also.

I like the different translations, too. I like the FFXIVcore site that you suggested. I'll check out the others, too.

I will say, Jollyjokers, that's a great thread you linked to in the OP. Thanks.
