Anyone else thinks that TGS 2009 was a huge letdown when it comes to give us more information about FFXIV ?

It was only a huge let down if you were deluded enough into thinking that Square was going to give more information.

My channel with FFXI battle music and hard to find songs that were not even released on Original Soundtracks.

I also plan on uploading FFXIV music when the game is released.

I wasn't expecting anything. They released so much information a few weeks before TGS that I no longer gave a **** about TGS. To be honest, the new trailer took me by surprise.

I thought they originally said there would be NO new information about XIV at TGS.. Considering they are getting the hype train in full gear for XIII, frankly, I'm surprised anyone expected anything at all in regards to news for XIV.

The only thing that upsets me is that there is no news regarding Versus XIII.

If you're only wanting to hear new info about FFXIV: TGS Fails.
For everyone else: TGS is going great.

Let's be reasonable here, Elmer and the rest of the team are having a ball at TGS, regardless of what information is wanted/released. That's like saying "I went to the VMAs expecting to see Michael Jackson, but didn't, so the VMAs sucked". Boo hoo, SE might not release any new information for FFXIV at TGS this year, but take into consideration the information we have received thus far. Although lacking, it has still been pretty good coverage up until now, and to say TGS 2009 was a Huge letdown because SE didn't announce the FFXIV Beta is just cruel.

Seems like a **** of a show.

Reading joystiq, kotaku and other gaming sites and blogs weeks in advance that SE will focus of FFXIII instead of FFXIV, which they said will only be a video. So no, not disappointed. Only makes sense that they hype the FFXIII, which is actually coming out in a few months (in Japan).

Trailers are important though, they get people interested in the game who otherwise wouldn't be paying any attention. I was noticing a lot of comments on various mainstream video game websites where people are like "Whoa this game looks sweet, this could very well be my first MMO!" and "Hmm, I might have to give this game a try." If SE just released little details about the game and nothing else few people would ever care.

So I'm very happy with SE's publicity move with FFXIV this TGS.

Am I disappointed there wasn't any new info? Absolutely, and I imagine all of you are to. Suprised? No, along the lines with alot of you. The trailer was pretty good although we already knew about a beta, its nice to know they're still going ahead with it. But I remember someone else saying there are other venues coming up (I don't remember what was mentioned) that more info could come from so we'll just see what happens.

I'm a bit disappointed by no extra classes announced, but I'm excited by the new trailer too. I think it's a bit early anyways. Around E3 next year, FFXIV should be in its Beta phase. That's my guess anyways.

Hopefully SE will release some info about more of the job classes in the meantime.

I imagine TGS on the whole was fun if you were there, but from a news standpoint on all gaming I was let down. I didn't really hear much news on anything other than a couple of new screenshots and Sony showing off the PS3 wand.

I agree with allot of you, The video was awesome, it gave us more things speculate about lol but still was good. I wish they would have gave a little more info tho. TGS got me hyped up . I was sure they would have gave us something like Male Miqo'te , Moggles, Chocobo's, or another completely different playable race. back to trolling the web for info .
