I don't think we'll be getting this for a while. They game is only slightly more than 50% done by now, so it's hard to say just how it'll run.

They have stated that it is being built for higher end current day models, so that should give you a pretty good idea.

They only said the demo at gamescom was a 50% complete build of the game. I got the impression the game as a whole was further along. But either way I doubt they'll have the pc specs for a while.

Any computer 3 years old or newer will probably run it as long as you have a good graphics card. That's my guess anyway. My pc is 5 years old and while it was a great FFXI machine, I know there's no way it'll run FFXIV decently.

The benchmark will probably come with the beta.

Just look at the specs of games that started as PS3 games and were ported to PC and you'll have a rough idea of what you'll need.

IF your computer can run today's latest games, then there is an excellent chance that it can run FF14. If it struggles with today's games, then it may very well struggle with FF14.

Min. specs would be nice, sometime to aim for for people who need to upgrade.

Square Enix are pretty good with their PC games, one of the very few companies that release benchmark programs in fact. FFXI and The Last Remnant are the only recent titles on PC and both have a benchmark.

I'd assume that they already have some sort of benching framework that they just apply to each game, so we'll probably see a benchmark when the specs come out.

Woah, I had totally forgotten about the FFXI benchmark. It's been a LONG time lol. Great idea to have one for 14!

I wonder about this benchmark myself. I hope they do create one for FF XIV. It'll easily answer how good the PC would run the game rather than people asking around and maybe getting different answers from different people with different standard.

I too am eager to fly through a forest of full of welcoming lalfells on my PC. I don't think it would be as frightening this time around.

My computer is a hunk of junk so having a benchmark would be infinitely helpful.
