I still log in to 11 but I rarely do anything but chat to my friends.
Paying 12.95 for a chat program that lets me wear homosexual gear, /sigh.
14 already looks gorgeous and I will play it, but if it shares a lot of the same faults as 11 I might not play it for long. (Lack of PvP I'm looking in your direction <.<)

Ps: yay for vagrant story!

Check out perfect world international. Best PvP I've ever experianced and it's free to download, free to play. Being free to play it's not a stretch to play it along side another MMO so you could still get your pvp fix.

As for pvp in FF, I'd rather not see it. PvP makes a game more about competition than cooperation. I prefer cooperation in my FF.

More on topic. I've already quite FFXI and am greatly looking forward to trying out FFXIV.

I stopped playing FFXI as well. Partially because my computer gave away, and partially because all the new stuff SE added into the game recently kind of ruined it for me. I've played since this game was released, and I had a good run, and it's time to move on. Hopefully FFXIV will provide as much entertainment as FFXI did, it was the best game I've ever played.

EDIT: As far as the PVP comment above, I'd also recomend Diablo II. It has the most addicting PVP I've ever done.

Ffxi was the best game i've ever played, along with socom 2... But despite this, i quit recently because ffxiv was announced. If anyone played when ffxi first came out(NA version) ...Then they know how fun it was when no one knew what to do... Good times... I just can't wait for ffxiv release because i hate starting games after everyones the highest level and everyone thinks theres only one way to do things. I hope they allow more variety into this one... But i trust SE to make this game amazing, i just wished that they wouldn't of announced it this early.. Soooo farrrrrr awayyyyyyy

Quit FFXI a while ago, yet it felt like the right time to hang up my shield and sword. Really anxious for FFXIV, starting fresh in a new world is going to be great.

I was expecting to play up until the xiv release. Played for about 5 yrs up until August when my account was hacked :/ It took me by complete surprise cuz I'd never had a problem in all of the 5 yrs. Even tho the rollback was successful, the cc I was using expired during that 3-week event. I decided to take an mmorpg break until xiv came out.

Until, >.>, my best friend came home from overseas and bought Aion for me. My mmo break lasted all of 3 months. It's definitely not as intriguing as ffxi and there is that lack of a sense of accomplishment that's usually attached to wow. But, nonetheless, it is fun and is killing the time while I wait for xiv.

Imma pounce on xiv beta like I would Milla Jovovich XD
Kudos to those who use facts.

yeah i agree with the fresh start aspect...i played FFXI for a while after it first came out and the nonestop fun of having no idea what you're doing and learning was one of the most fun parts..actually progressing and learning as a population made you feel like you were really part of something, not like a complete noob...i understand that you will always have people far ahead of you in progress, but for the most part it was fun actually dicsussing new tactics and trial-and-error parties that made the best memories for me

I quit FF11 for over a year for different reasons. I wanted to try other MMOs and see how they were, so in that time I played Age of Conan, Warhammer, and WoW. I enjoyed all three games for different reasons and had planned to keep AoC and WoW going for some time.

Then I heard about FF14 coming out. Soon after I had a urge to play FF11 again remembering all the good times I had as a n00b. Before I knew it I had my old account back gearing up my old jobs and canceling my other MMOs.

BST was my first 75 and I wanted to relive the climb so I made a BST mule. At this rate I will have more than enough to keep me busy until FF14.

Plan to get FF14 as soon as it comes out and if all goes well it should keep me entertained for a good while.

Im ready to go to 14 but im not really ready ATM right to leave 11. I barely started doing Dyna this past May with a new Dyna shell my LS had made on the side. On top of that I started when it came out in the NA for the PS2 then like 1/2 a year later my one of my speakers fell on my PS2 and it wouldn't/find the HDD so I had to take a forced year and 1/2 break, started all over but took me a long time to get to 75. Thers still a whole lot I want to do in this game like actually finishing a expansion >.>; I'm still on Mission for Windy Nation. Like the 4th mission for Zilart, yes I don't have Sky :\ I BARELY finished my last Promy(Holla after like 1/2 a year) the other nite to get to Tavnazian Safehold. Still PSC and on like mission 14/15? on the ToAU. Havnt done a Nyzule run! Only things Ive really finished are the 3 add-ons and I'm totally current with WoTG minus the Bastok and Sandy quest arcs because I rather do those another time. So yea...theres still a lot for me to do and its very hard to find the things I want to do. Ive wanting to join a CoP static but the one I was going to join seems to be non-existent for I think lack of interest. Its very hard to find help with the majority of the playerbase already done with all thee mission. But I digress, I will be all over 14 when it comes out and with a majority of the people I know in game have said their quitting as soon as it hits the stores. I think as soon as I'm satisfied with 11 I will quit but not at this moment. Knowing me however once I get 14 I'll probably end up saying goodbye to 11 whether I beat CoP or not...
