Awesome looking armor. Hopefully SE doesn't show favoritism this time around and does something similar for the NA version of FFXIII and the European PAL version of FFXIII.

$60 dollars still isn't worth the armor, if that was all you bought it for at least.

Remember the giant debate about whether FFXI players should get an in-game token of some sort? Like a hat or a pet for example?

Well if people get one for playing 13, I pretty much expect the FFXI players to get a little trinket now.

Actually it's called "Libel"... and only if it is fabricated, but hey, you are the admin.

This makes MUCH more sense than a beta key, because if it was beta access, that meant beta access only for Japan.

I'm hoping it's something silly, like a free in game item when 14 launches, or a demo etc.

yup. I totally called it. go me.

Smart move on SE's part. The rabble that would have resulted in the international community if this had been a beta code would have been more annoying than they'd want to deal with. In game "vanity" items are hard to argue with.

I bet FFXI players get:

"Scroll of Ultimate Power"

When opened, it contains the secret to kill AV.

But everyone will have quit to play XIV.

Yeah, they're THAT sadistic.

It also meant that FFXIII would be coming out in September.

Isn't SE releasing some surprise info on ff13 release info? I'm starting to think they might have a worldwide simultaneous release. Or the rest of us will be able to buy ff13 sooner than we think. Giving out in-game codes, to the Japanese release, really suggest that ff14 could be around the corner.

Some people might forget/lose their codes. SE can't be having the codes not being used for too/so long. Some people think that FF14 is going to be release fall/winter 2010. I really think spring/summer 2010 is what we are going to see. Who's going to keep their codes safe and intact for 9-12 months? I know I can. But most of the young ones and elderly would forget or would have had their dog eat by the time they could actually use the code.

This is me just thinking logically about all this code talk, and ff13 vs. ff14 release info.

Japanese initial release packages of FINAL FANTASY XIII include a Special Offer Campaign Code for FINAL FANTASY XIV. This code can be used in FINAL FANTSY XIV to obtain an In Game Secret Item.

Currently, there are no details regarding how this code will be used and what type of item the code will provide. Additionally, possible inclusion of this code in North American or European initial release versions of FINAL FANTASY XIII has not been determined at this time.
