Well probably not, but did anyone else notice the legal stuff at the bottom says;

Quote:
Square Enix Limited, Registered in England No. 01804186
Registered office: Wimbledon Bridge House, 1 Hartfield Road, London SW19 3RU
Trademarks are properties of their respective owners. Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSiWare are trademarks of Nintendo.

Only on the UK page though

Probably just a mistake, but who knows, maybe there could be some kind of hand held adaption to the game?

Well, SE has a few games on the DS so it could be that for mentioning some of the bestiary that makes an appearance in those games (morbol and ahriman) you have to show the trademark stuff.

You could be right though...maybe they're making some sort of auction house program that lets you buy and sell items on your DS. CCP are planning on something like that for EVE but it will be for your phone.

My channel with FFXI battle music and hard to find songs that were not even released on Original Soundtracks.

I also plan on uploading FFXIV music when the game is released.

It would be possible.
The DSi has a touch screen to sub for a mouse, buttons for monving and such, and has an SD card slot that could store the game for playing.
Plausible, though? Maybe not the whole game; maybe an auction house program, or a training thingamajig. I don't know.

Lets see them get crazy and allow you to link you account to a DS account so you can browse and purchase things from the auction house when you aren't able to get online.

I remember something like that was talked about for FFXI on the PSP. They said it would let you use the auction house and talk to your linkshell or something like that.

Local multiplayer if you get 4 friends with DSi's together with 4 Square Enix cables and 4 copies of FFXIV.

Perhaps we're gonna get remote ls chat, a somewhat common request for FFXI. Here's hoping for an iPhone app and flash player chat client too.

If this is anything at all, I highly doubt it would offer any connectivity to the full FFXIV whatsoever. DS connects to the Wii, not the PS3. Something PSP-based would make more sense in that regard. I'm leaning toward spinoff/standalone game, if anything.

Pankration with a global trade station to send mobs to your DS to play with them.

Watch over your chocobos on the DSi portable FFXIV chocobo farm.
Feed Gausebit Grass on the go. Blowing into the Nintendo DSi microphone will cause your chocobo to lose its balance and fall over.
