From all the games that I have seen, I would have to say that I would not. I have never seen it done well myself.

it's nice to see all the details of the equipments that you equipped.
SE had said they might even let you see the rings (i think it was a joke)
but there arent much things u can wear on ur back but capes... and i dont think all of them looks good

and keep in mind most of the time we are looking at the back of our characters and then we have to look at these raindbow capes on our backs... kinda *** and ugly imo

Just wanted to share a pic i remember from one of the cut scenes

Shows a character with a backpack as well as the character on the right is wearing a cape. I know this is just a cut scene, but its something to ponder.
Also on the subject of capes done right, go take a look at Batman Arkham Asylum. The cape physics in this game are done very well. Lets hope for this

Eh, I say let it be in there, but let it have a "I can hide this" option like WoW has.

A lot of people like their cloaks. I don't personally, and have always hidden them, but that's no reason to not allow other people to wear them.

I suport the idea of actual cloaks... not capes called cloaks. Hoods would be nice too so long as they sit right and can be toggled up or down, an emote action to go with that would be super nice.

Assassin's Creed II had a cool looking "cape" on Ezio -- i think if they look good, i'm all for it. I don't want WoW looking capes with guild emblems on them, they look too tacky and ugly honestly.

WoW doesn't have guild emblems on capes, WAR does. WoW has the guild emblems on tabards.

WoW doesn't have guild emblems on capes, WAR does. WoW has the guild emblems on tabards.

Also, Guild Wars also has guild emblems on caps.

It's somewhat common in MMOs.

I agree with solidmack on it though. I'm not a fan of the guild emblems on capes. I think the tabard is a good place for it.

And it would be cool if there were many types not just only a few different kinds.
