Does anyone know if the new $299 PS3 (120GB) will be able to play FFXIV or do you need the more expensive $349 PS3 (160GB?) for the game?

I'm on the verge of purchasing either/or but I'm trying to figure out which would be best for online adventuring.

They're virtually identical minus the hard drive size. You should be fine picking either one.

The whole purpose of a game console is so there is a standard with regards to hardware for users that own a certain console. Having 2 consoles of the same type (PS3) with different hardware capabilities would defeat the entire purpose.
I will wake up at six a.m. again.
and I will find my way to the front door
like a soldier crawling through the smoking carnage.
smoldering bodies at my feet,
I'd love to stick around, but I've got someone to meet.
and I will put my best foot forward.
and I'll thank god I made it out of there
on the day when my new friends come.

I have the original 60GB console, which I bought from a coworker who didn't want it anymore. Since it's backwards compatible, I can play FFXII and/or FFXIII until FFXIV comes out.
