I suspect Star Trek online will win by a landslide. Millions of trekkies have been waiting years if not decades for this.

I find it funny how Aion pretty much won every category it was in especially best new MMO and biggest disappointment.

I'll be ok if FFXIV gets 2nd also for next upcoming MMO, is Star Trek looking good to anyone whos checked it out?

My channel with FFXI battle music and hard to find songs that were not even released on Original Soundtracks.

I also plan on uploading FFXIV music when the game is released.

Not better than XIV, at least.

Eh? EVE not listed in the PvP category? Ive never even heard of half of the games being listed in this poll.

Heh, EVE is perpetually flying under the radar.

Loved the PVP in EVE. Just wish it was easier to find someone to fight!

This poll is only for games released in 09 thats why EVE isnt on there. Notice WOW WAR and AOC arent there either. Is Sto looking good? Eh I'm a big Trek fan but honestly it looks kinda shallow and lame compared to EVE. If you like a lot of pve and previous cryptic games then sure I guess it looks fine. If your looking for something with the deep pvp, empire building, econ and crafting of EVE look elsewhere STO lacks any of those. We don't know much about STO pvp but given their previous track record I doubt it will be much better.

I'm more interested in FFXIV as my pve game and EVE as my sandbox PVP game.

Keeping in mind 50% of the player base will be japanese you should probably double whatever number the votes are at now really...

Even if you double FFXIVs votes it doesn't come within 1000 votes of STO.

Is it me or does Star Trek Online look horrible? I don't know, I could never watch the show, so maybe that's why I'm missing the attraction.

STO isn't really targeting you, then. Sure they're targeting non-Trekkies, especially by going through efforts to make it familiar to MMO players (the tank/DPS/support ship breakdown, for example), but if Star Trek in general doesn't appeal to you, it's not likely STO will.

I like the show and the new movie was awesome. But when I last looked at Star Trek Online.. it looked just awful.

If some people think its the next best thing since sliced bread, then I'm happy for them. But they claim its graphics are 'the best ever' but from what I've seen, they don't even hold a candle to Age of Conan's graphics (even tho the graphics in AoC were not optimized in the least bit, they were beautiful)..

The graphics in STO certainly aren't the best ever. I don't think they are in the same league as AoC, Lotro, or FFXIV

I guess i can be considered half trekkie, but i'm not real interested in STO. Any FF title holds more appeal to me.

Voted. STO is kicking our ****.

EDIT: I play Neo Steam, and I'm surprised it was mentioned! So I voted for it in everything else even though I haven't played any of the others (very interested in Fallen Earth though). Gotta love uneducated democracy.

I'm afraid that I can't do that. There are several games coming out next year that I'd much rather play. Even if I was just dying to play FFXIV, I seriously doubt that it will actually be released next year anyway.

Like what?

(Disclaimer: I am not implying that FFXIV is the best and there should be nothing else to look forward to. I am just curious and would like to hear your opinion) :)

FFXIV is starting to close that shockingly large gap STO had out of the gate.
