A lot of people keep saying "OMFG I can't wait for Beta!" yet have failed to sit down and think about what's more important than the Beta invites, it's HOW you plan on making your contribution to making this game the best. I passed on signing up due to the fact that I think a lot of people are trying to Beta test for the wrong reasons..it's more than just being able to play before everyone else..

I'm pretty sure most players know the importance of beta . How about besides just playing the game to play it people want to add to
making this as fun if not more enjoyable then XI. It's about having passion for their interests / hobbies and wanting to contribute to their gaming community .

Way to pretend to be better than everyone else. You're not. The main reason most people play ANY beta is to get an early glimpse at a game without having to pay for it. Not many can say they are excited to participate in FFXIV's beta due to how they've always wanted to help Square Enix fix bugs. Does that mean they're going to be wasting their time? Not necessarily. Does that mean SE is wasting their time with this beta? Of course not, they need all the help they can get beforehand, and they are WELL aware of why people actually join betas. If anything, you not participating in the beta means one less person to help out, so you're only hurting progress. If you think that the beta is going to be so horrible and not accomplish anything, then that should be all the more reason for you to join and help out. If you're just wanting to play martyr, save it. I apologize for criticizing you on these forums, but you're blindly criticizing me and everyone else who signed up for the beta.
