If this is a more "Sci Fi" or advance looking game, Does it means we will get to see the infamous Biggs and Wedge as they often happen to do their cameos in FFseries?

So far I know FFVII, FFVIII, FFX, and FFX-2 (as well as many variation in several other FFs . . . .

Maybe i am just cold, sleepy, and crazy

Biggs and Wedge also make an appearance in Star Wars. Those 2 are pretty popular.

Edit: rated down for the truth!

I'm kinda sad they don't always recur, and yes they are taken from star wars as an homage to the series. I think they may have had a larger role in some of the star wars books?

I do await the Cid of this game :) seeing as Cid can be protagonist or antagonist always excites me just a little.

As far as I remember (in regards to Cid post), the only time Cid was the antagonist was in FFXII (loved that character) and i don't recall him ever being a Protagonist (as in the main character, that is what the word means correct? main good guy?? maybe i'm wrong). As for Biggs and Wedge they also has a variation of them in FFXII and would love to see them in FFXIV.

If I'm not mistaken, they named Biggs "Vicks" in 3(6). How I remember things like this is honestly beyond me.

Biggs dies in the Death star run in the first movie. He never has much of a role. Wedge does have a much larger role in the books and expanded universe. Wedge becomes leader of Rogue Squadron after Luke and is the best star fighter pilot the Rebel Alliance/New Republic has besides Luke. Wedge was the X wing pilot who made it all the way to the center of the Death Star with Lando in return of the Jedi.

I know we're talking about Biggs and Wedge but when I clicked

It makes me wonder as well how they'll impliment Cid here. Seeing as he usually seems to be found around technology, I have to wonder if he'll be apart of the Garlean Empire. How would it strike you to see an Emperor Cid conquering the world with Magitek?

Wikipedia, you are so extended that even teachers accept you as a source to cited work :P

I believe Cid would be more of the one in charge of all these flying machinery we are seeing. Probably an empire mechanist or the "Admiral" of a fleet ... um... Limsa Lominsa ... didn't your leader was called "Admiral"?

As Biggs and Wedge, I just know they will, if they are, be in some comedy event or cutscene.

Ah, well then I guess I should really say "good guy" or "bad guy" when referring to Cid. He really isn't the main story driver so you're right protagonist and antagonist don't technically work there, but I was hoping my point got across. Also I don't want to spoil xiii so I'll just say he does return hehe

I forgot about Al-Cid from XII, his role was not that large though he held a lot of political power from his nation.

In the first tactics I think the Cid was Cidolfus Orlandeau the Holy Swordsman which was kinda cool.

Philosopher John Locke?

Wouldn't put it past SE to make the reference. I can't think of anything specific that Locke does that reminded me of John Locke though. Anyone else know? or think it's just coincidence?

That would be a great twist.

But you spoiled it, so wouldn't be as great as it could have anymore. :(
