Just hoping that there is. Would you use it? Do you use the regular FFXIAH?

Impossible to answer. I like XI AH and do use it... but we don't even know if there even is an Auction House, let alone if the server design allows people to access the information for it.

If they do implement an auction house the developers at ffxiah.com will have to cater their data collecting methods to whatever interface FFXIV has. I don't know how they collect data, but it seems like there will probably be a long development period as they figure out the system works.

Just for clarification, I bot, sell gil, buy gil, MPK, party naked through the dunes, power level, play as a Ranger, quit when they nerf it and complain, play as a Beastmaster, quit when then nerf it and complain, make posts for and against RMT, monopolize NMs, create elitist groups, run casinos, steal gil, hack accounts, and stare at you awkwardly with my left eye.

I think there was a post a few months back saying that the people behind FFXIAH had registered FFXIVAH.com

You can go to it right now, just has the trailer and a few screenshots on it.

So far it looks like SE won't have the auction system in FFXIV this time. Instead it will be more of a market place experience. But who knows, SE might change their minds.

Yeah would be great to have. If XIV has an AH I'm sure it will take some time for the developers to figure out a way to gather the information.

I'd like to see the non-AH system. Marketplace sounds awesome, especially seeing as I want my main to focus on crafting.

The issue with a non-AH system is it can make it overly difficult for players to find what they are looking for, and to find general prices for said items. Some kind of searchable list is, as far as I'm concerned, necessary for this type of game, be in in game or third party.

There will be a FFXIV[insert purchasing system here].com at some point once people figure things out. I wouldn't use it, just as I never used ffxiah, mostly because I didn't need to. I was so used to using the actual AH for anything I needed, but it was nice to know that there was a website to help out with that should I ever wanted to consult it.
