My channel with FFXI battle music and hard to find songs that were not even released on Original Soundtracks.

I also plan on uploading FFXIV music when the game is released.

I don't see how you came up with Tera being a pseudo ffxiv. I'm interested in why you think this so please post a sentence or two with an explanation, not just a statement.

how does yet another grindy runlolnukerun game compare to FF?

Notice she is killing like 15 mobs at a time. Unless those little guys and the big dude are the players and that's just a normal mob kicking their butts while registering as "Even Match"

I am not seeing the resemblance either, but i gotta say... That game is looking pretty amazing so far. never heard of it until now, I might need to try it out when it is released.

That first trailer ****** me off. Every class just slammed their weapon into the ground.

I don't see the similarity with FFXIV though.

This looks more like an Aion knockoff than one for FFXIV. Same Koreanish art style, even. I see much grind in this game's future...

Also, teddy bears as a race? Really?

Don't knock the teddy bears. They've got a cute factor going on. At least tarutaru were kinda cute - they've turned them into evil children of the corn with the Lalafell.

A lot of the classes are similar to the FF series - but really, FF has taken generic fantasy classes and made them somewhat iconic to the series.

Overall, I have agree with other responses though. The similarities end with the classes. The art style is very different, gameplay looks more WoWish than FFXIV (though we've seen so little gameplay from XIV, who's to say at this point). I can't say I'm a fan of the "gather 'em up and AoE the snot of them" school, either.

It doesn't remind me anything of FFXIV (at least from the limited footage I've seen). It looks to me more of a hybrid between Diablo 2 and WoW.

And that character yelling "cha!" every **** time she casts a spell is annoying as **** after just 1 battle. I can't imagine playing her through the game.

._.

I have to agree, the gameplay video looked super annoying and boring. I hope FFXIV doesn't turn out like that. I have to say though, the graphics did look nice if nothing else.

That game should really change it's name to B&B (Boobs & Butts). (^_^)

Well, visually I think it looks really good. The gameplay doesn't look bad, but you can never tell if it's going to be good til you get a good look at it.

Never confuse your inference as the listener for an implication of the speaker.

Good games are subjective like good food is subjective. You're not going to seriously tell me that there's not a psychological basis for why pizza is great and lutefisk is revolting. The thing about subjectivity is that, as subjects go, humans actually have a great deal in common.

isn't it great how the first image in the trailer is a closeup of barely covered boobs.

I wish either FF had half as much eye candy as either of them, honestly. The characters in the offline games are racier.

I don't like solo games. It really eliminates the sense of accomplishment when you can do it all by yourself without trouble.

I really do prefer the dynamics of a group in ffxi

I really think people just get paid to promote other MMOs on this board.

Look forward to BorderWorlds!, If you love Final Fantasy, you're going to love BorderWorlds!

Looks interesting. I liked the story trailer one towards the end when the last character left standing against the giant Buddha demon is all like, "Imma die but my panties are hawt!" and then the old guy standing on the hill was all like, "Yup, them were some hawt panties."

The gameplay footage was obviously test footage. Did you see the respawn rate on the pack of mobs she killed? It was in the neighborhood of 30 seconds. Also, for a rather large pack of demon type mobs, they were non-aggressive, which suggests more of a combat systems test setup than an actual, "You'll get to fight this exact same group of mobs in this exact spot, too!" kind of thing.

FFXIV is being marketed as a game where the combat will feature, "many vs. one" and "many vs. many." If the idea of fighting multiple enemies simultaneously truly bothers you, I guess you're in the wrong place.

Tera looks like a pretty game and from what little we've seen of the combat footage, it could do well. There's a lot more to an MMO than bewbs and basic combat, however (AoC showed us that). Can't say I'll be following Tera with an eager eye, but I've seen worse.
