I was wondering how they're distributing the keys, whether they're being given via playonline e-mails or some other method.

I was also wondering if they're done sending out invites for alpha/beta whatever it is, as they said they were giving them out on March 1st, and i'm wondering if they're gonna give them out throughout the day, or if they all went out in 1 big batch this morning.

Thank you!

If you got in, you got everything you need to know. Beta site goes live on the 11th, that's really all that matters.

According to BG, everyone got them all at once, more or less. So, if you don't have an email now, it's probably pretty bleak at this point. Who knows, anything can happen...

I mean seriously anything can happen at this point considering what just went down at Vana'fest.

Well then how do you receive one?

Do they call you at home?

Send secret agents to abduct you in a white van, and discretely hand you a closed envelope with the message "do not open before march 11th under penalty of death"

I don't get it

You log in with your SE account/password when the beta site goes live on the 11th. If you're in, you're in. If you're not, you'll get an error message on the site most likely.

Again, if you got the email, you got all you need to know. There are no beta "codes".

Email. This is how anything you ever signed up for online will contact you. You'll get a notice saying you've been invited or received a key, and there will instructions.

Thanks for the replies :)

So basically, if I haven't received an e-mail I still have a chance of getting in using my square enix ID on March 11th when the site goes live.

They linked the Square Enix Members accounts and SE accounts (were 2 different things for some reason. SE account had keychain number thingy, SE Members just had general info and groups and such on a page). Probably means that they are using the SE accounts you use to log in for the extra login in playonline if you have those keychain random number generator thingies...

Errr, security tokens.

At any rate, you won't receive any emails to the account you asked to get the newsletters on, but the account you are signed up for SE with.

Just to clerify. Check what email you signed up with here by logging in at:

https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/Login?cont=account

Also, the priority was going to be people who have been playing ffxi, probably for more than 6 months like the mog bananza, over others first.

Also, this isn't the beta.

March 11th is the start of the late alpha phase test. People that received the email were invited to test the alpha, and continue testing when the beta starts.

Hope that answers your questions! you can get ahold of me on steam if you have something more specific to ask, I can probably answer it more clearly that way.
