Ok so I purchase FFXIII for PS3 yesterday. I get home and crack it open and notice that there is a leaflet inside that says "Register your copy of FFXIII by entering the code below and redeem your free bonus gift." After reading what you all posted on the forums about recieving a code for FFXIV Beta, I was stoked. Yet when I went to the website and entered the code, all I got was 50 member points?? WTF?

there should have been another page that gave you the 20 digit code for the beta and in game item. there is a way to get the code if you forgot it but i cant remember exactly how to do that. if all else fails take the game back to the store and say it stoped working and you can get a brand new one with a new registration card

You have to scroll down quite a bit. Even if it didn't load (I noticed the SE Members site was pretty buggy last night), the code is permanently tied to your Members account and you should be able to retrieve it in the account section.

if you log back into your SE account, you can lookup the ff14 code - it's tied to your account once registered.

Hey had same problem as the website was very buggy and slow. Took me forever to find but if you go to Features>Final Fantasy 13>Bonus codes then click the link to review the bonus codes for your registered copy of FF13 and it will be listed there. Hope this helps ya.

Hrm... so is this elusive Beta code something for the PS3 version only? I've got FFXIII for the Xbox, and while I've found the bonus codes, all I get is an Xbox live Avatar costume, not a Beta code?

I think thats because its ffxiv is not coming to xbox, Thats why they gave you avatar items instead?

I dont know, Just my opinion, I could be wrong, I heard that its not coming to xbox yet.

Seems like it is just for those who registered a PS3 version. I just registered my Xbox 360 version and only got the avatars stuff also. This is disappointing as I had planned to play 14 on PC.

I am also going to play on my PC - they at least could have given us an option. I mean, if the beta code doesn't get used or is given to someone who CAN use it, who cares? The more testers/testing the better, you'd think. Kinda lame that if Microsoft wasn't being douchey about their Xbox live stuff, us 360'ers would have a Beta code as well :(

Sorry if this has been answered already but I got my beta code but already submitted an application for the PC beta before. If I try to do another one with my same SE ID using this new code will it count as a repeat submission and therefore be invalidated?

To the last post, I believe so. This is also why I'm a bit upset I put in an application before FFXIII came out. I have a Code now that I tried to use that probably won't be any good. ::sigh:: At least I get a FFXIV item, though.

I re-applied anyway just in Address Line 2 I put "Internet Connections problems may show more than one app, sorry! I have a Code, give me a chance!".- And crossed my fingers from there.

I'm pretty sure that the updated Beta App site says that if you re-submit, only your old app(s) will be invalidated. It will use your most current app.

Ditto. I'm not even sure what the costume is for; I have no clue what an xBox Live avatar is, or how to access it.
