Guild Name: Eorzea Corps
Leader: Destinova
Server: Undetermined
Type: All play styles
Website: http://www.eorzeacorps.com
Recruiting: Active mature members

Our sight is set on the horizon. With a willingness to help new
and old members we will be focused on progression of skills,
knowledge, mission’s, and gear in a way that rewards the
helpful and deters the disdain.

I have an idea...just a thought. Sort of a "take it or leave it" sort of suggestion.

If you want people from here to join your in-game sub-community, how about respecting this community by taking part in what is happening here instead of just making an account to post periodic recruitment threads? It has been mentioned that a lot of people are inclined to join a group based on the people in it, so how about being a person to this community so that folks can get to know you instead of signing up for your guild because it has...a name. Maybe?

How do you recruit active members in a game that doesn't exist yet?

Maybe like how you pay for things with money you don't have?

Since admins are allowing recruitment threads to be posted, I think it would be a good idea if there was a "minimum post count limit" set for anyone who wants to start a new recruitment thread (and if the poster is under that limit, the thread is nuked). This way we won't have it get worse the closer to release we get.

Upon FFXIV release, I can honestly see (based on whats happening now with these threads) half of the posts on the first page of this forum cluttered with 1-10 post members all trying to recruit people to their "original and guaranteed to succeed" linkshells. With a minimum post count restriction, at the very lease they have to contribute to the community first.

Minimumpost count isn't needed like anyone would take someone serious who can't post under his forumname if he has one anyway.

if you are so serious in recruiting you would give us information that is needed.
Simple things like which region do you live in, is it Europe or US and if in US which time?

You don't give any information about yourself like if you have experience in what games what content ect.
Basicly you just make a simple site cause that is what your good at it and you probly don't even have the capabilites to run a guild or linkshell.

QFT

This guy's got a total of 3 posts, two of which are recruitment attempts along with links to his website, and the third stating that his forums are working again. For all his talk, he hasn't said much.

If I can make a suggestion of my own, put a link to your site in your sig like I did. If people are curious enough, they'll check it out. With the link there, your post can be devoted to discussing the game with the rest of us.

#9EorzeaCorps, Posted: Mar 19 2010 at 2:53 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Sorry I’m trying to actively recruit, FFXIV release is going to be within the next 9 months (unless delayed) so I want to get an early start, and for time zone, people in all different time zones play different hours.

I think I'm going to lock any recruitment threads done by people who make new accounts and don't post anything except notices from now on. I agree that you should be a part of our community before you start trying to grab people from it.
