The best parts are:
1) This thread hasn't been "on topic" in a while; the last couple of pages were me explaining the concept of "barriers weeding out bads", and there's still plenty of "off topic" content in this and several other threads.
2) In deleting posts, a lot of relatively on topic discussion was removed from the thread because -some- of the post was off-topic, despite the rest of it being on-topic.
3) All that was removed was a bit of intelligent (albeit offtopic) discussion from a thread that was started on a forum that is largely comprised of speculation anyway. Why should we discuss things that matter when we need to get back to the real point of being here: Arguing about information and speculation we won't know about for months.
4) Any chance at taking the off-topic parts of the discussion to a different forum has been nullified, because rather than MOVE the off topic posts, they were deleted, and I'm certainly not going to retype it all (****, I can't even remember what all was said) from scratch in another forum just to continue what was a worthwhile discussion. At least if the posts were left alone, I could have copied and pasted it and started a new thread, but nope.
Mikhalia: and FWIW, my posts are 95% helpful, informative, or funny.
Mikhalia: only 5% or less of my posts are utter crap.
Tyapex: 393 posts of utter crap...
Mikhalia: Sounds about right.
