I posted this on core, but I was wondering on the general consensus here, if that FFXIV will incorporate something like a "far-east" element to the game? As I stated on a different post on core, the Samurai and Ninja jobs weren't even in FF11 till Rise of the Zilart.

I made this short youtube clip to show what I mean:

Any thoughts regarding the use of rl cultures that have influence in the game? Post here please :)

I would be shocked if they didn't, Square Enix is Japan based. They have always integrated these classes in some form into their games for the most part, and character design has a very Asian influence. As for architecture in traditional Far-East style, I would imagine you will just see the influence but not direct design as Eorzea will be a unique world environment.

The Vanilla game and Zilart were launched simultaneously at the US release if I remember correctly, just not the JP release. They were definitely planned on at the time of JP release. ..Personally I couldn't imagine a proper FFXI experience without these two classes, so much fun.

I really liked the art work in your youtube vid, and I do hope that XIV has a strong far-east element.

I love East Asian art and history and would love to see it incorporated into FFXIV. These games tend to always be Medieval Europe influenced in weapons, structure, and architecture but FF usually adds its unique Asian twist.
