Based on Famitsu article on April 9th, there is Skillchain system in FFXIV as well and it is called as Batorurejimenmodo(バトルレジメン). What would you think of this new skillchain?

Quote:
Batorurejimenmodo(バトルレジメン)

1. Target monsters and techniques used in consultation with party members, decide the order.

2. Batorurejimenmodo switch to the Actions menu, click the button next to your turn around When I select a skill to execute.

3. After the setting of all, someone Batorurejimen trigger button.

4. Additional effect occurs in response to those actions lead

Into the Batorurejimen technique is that they can not always have the special attributes and effects in the integration of Mage Axe Axe slashing attack of a professional fencing "physical defense - (minus)" effect occurs. A similar effect occurs even replacing the hammer ax hammer fist combat engineer. Since the effect changes depending on skills and connect in turn, it is fun to look for more effective integration flow. Was used in this experiment was all normal attacks, it appeared useful effect of lowering the enemy's defense though. If you make a spell or skill or attribute, increasing the number of participants in Batorurejimen, special effects would occur fairly strong.

I think that if this IS true, we need a better translation, because that was hard to read.

No offense ment.

That would explain it.

Can we get a decent translator up in this thread?

Read it slowly
And then think carefully about a system we already know about it

(Hint: Battle Regiment)

Consult with Party Members to decide on your Battle Regiment, wait until your turn comes up and select the command you want to contribute, after all commands have been contributed somebody initiates, the commands occur simultaneously and combine to create a glorious orgy of particle effects.

What commands are combined and in what order determine the effect.

On the surface it seems less time oriented than a skillchain, but more flexible in the number of members whom participate and what they participate with (weapon-skills, abilities(?), spells and vanilla melee strikes being accounted for in the above)

<<< Has only been looking into details of the game for about 2 weeks.

Post above me explains it well I guess.

Found this translation on BG, but it was taken from ffxivcore.com:

Up next: BATTLE REGIMENS!

A regimen for strategy

When fighting a powerful opponent with your party, you can use a system called “battle regimen” to link your attacks with the attacks of other members in your party. This has a chance to add special effects. Here’s how it works:

1.Decide the order of attacks by discussing it with your party

2.When your turn in the regimen comes, press the button next to the action meny to change to regimen mode, and select your move.

3.When all members have entered their moves, someone presses the button to activate the regimen.

4.Depending on the actions and order selected, effects may be added.

Moves in battle regimens do not need any special properties. For example, a gladiator’s slashing attack and a marauder’s axe attack gave the enemy a “physical defense down” status effect. The same effect was produced when the marauder changed to pugilist and used a regular punching attack. The effect changes depending on the order and the skills used, so I’m looking forward to finding the best combinations. In this experiment, we only used regular attacks, but it still lowered the enemy’s defense. Battle regimens using elemental attacks and magic will surely have even more powerful specialized effects.
