First I'm going to give my take on the jobs and then say what I'd like to see in addition. I'll be talking mostly in FFXI terms.
Lancer - It feels like SE is combining DRG (from the weapon), SAM (from the TP manipulation), THF (from the enmity control), and BRD (from the party boosts) on this one. This seems more like a captain or WarLeader type class to me.
Archer - Obviously from RNG
Gladiator - Obviously from PLD
Marauder - Combo between DRK and WAR. Just start swinging your weapon and things start dying.
Pugilist - Combo between MNK (Fighting Style) and THF (Steal). Possibly this class includes a NIN tanking style from the enmity control and evasion abilities.
Conjurer - Obviously the traditional WHM, RDM, BLM.
Thaumaturge - This looks like a combo BLM and DRK which is geared more for a darker and EMO playstyle.
What would I like to see?
Swashbuckler - Maybe a combo between RDM and COR. I got my epee in one hand and my gun in the other all underneath my cool hat!
Entertainer - Combo between BRD and DNC. This is your song and dance specialist. But it would probably need a spiffier name.
Druid - Or call it geomancer, but some job with a nature focus for spellcasting and shapeshifting. (Although I don't think Final Fantasy has done a shapeshifting type job before)
