What happens if you... unequipped your weapon?
You become classless? The world implodes?
I guess they can make it that you MUST have a weapon equipped. Guess we don't have to worry about mobs that unequip our weapons haha.
But then, maybe there are cursed weapons?
ooo maybe that's how Cursed status will work?
speculating... speculating...

Haha...you know, they haven't explained that...

Really though, I think it will make you "classless", which also means that disarming enemies should be in, to make at least take out your weapon, making you have no class, meaning no skills (probably?)...I haven't been following this game as much as some people here, BUT I'm getting there!

I'll have you know that your title caused me to go on a 30 minute binge of youtube-ing Metal Gear Solid game over screens.

You can't unequip your weapon you always have to have something on. Its funny though in the alpha instructions when you read why the reason is just "The gods forbid it".

My channel with FFXI battle music and hard to find songs that were not even released on Original Soundtracks.

I also plan on uploading FFXIV music when the game is released.

I fully endorse this NDA-breakage. We needed this answered before heads started exploding.

haha of course there is always waiting and finding out.
Thought it was an interesting thing to speculate/converse about.

Wasn't asking for an NDA breakage. ;p

So are pots, pans, and fishing rods then considered weapons? How about whatever you use for tanning and alchemy?

You become a NPC. No matter what you type, you always say the exact same sentence no matter how many times you try to type something. :P

I guess thats better than the usual "just please understand/except it." we usually get when they completely fail to be able to justify any extremely obscure concepts or decisions in Japan.

Its a bit more imaginative I guess. You would think you'd default to hand-to-hand just like in ffxi at the least lol

If this "quark" ended up in the final build that'd be a serious lack of imagination, critical thinking, and problem solving. These are factors that should be focused on before making things "High Definition".
