Good web resources for Alpha leaks?Follow

I read a post earlier stating that the rest of the classes that will be initially available in FFXIV were revealed by .dat mining for weapon types, abilities, and such, but I haven't actually found this info on the web anywhere. So...where do people actually go when they're looking for juicy alpha leaks? All my Google hits have been duds, and I would like to get some action tonight. This forum has been dry the past few days.
#2The One and Only Aurelius, Posted: Apr 25 2010 at 7:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) My personal opinion is that the meaning and purpose of the NDA has changed somewhat since the alpha/beta was announced, but that doesn't necessarily mean it would be wise to give out explicit links to leaked information here.

Not to information, but to the websites that may or may not have the information.

Maybe someone will send you a PM with the information. I think in the context of this thread, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to post it.

I'm hesitant to actually give links as it breaks the idea behind the NDA. However, I will say that if you look hard enough, they are out there.

I think its more than safe to say that pookypoo was banned for videos being out. I can also say its likely safe to say..... google a specific name of someone banned and you may find something... or not...

I'd advise you to go check BG, they're pretty active and people aren't as anally retentive. KI is also interesting to check up sometimes, but mostly it's a ghost town.

Well as a new poster I don't want to break any rules, but I personally watched the leaked video real time and everything on that video is now public on most fansites. If you look at sites covering FFXIV you will even find the entire leaked video still hosted... which is shocking to me. YouTube still can't get rid of all the clips of the various leaks and you can still download music, videos, .dat information from several torrents... I hope this isn't wrong to state, but I figure it's obvious to everyone who understands how the interwebz function.

You're not technically breaking any forum rules. Thing is, Alla has an agreement with SE. In order to stay in SE's good graces, they've agreed to not help people break the NDA. That's Alla's choice, and I choose to respect it. There are plenty of other sites who aren't bound by such an agreement, so they can do as they please. And all quite legally.

Never confuse your inference as the listener for an implication of the speaker.

Good games are subjective like good food is subjective. You're not going to seriously tell me that there's not a psychological basis for why pizza is great and lutefisk is revolting. The thing about subjectivity is that, as subjects go, humans actually have a great deal in common.

Way to miss the joke completely.

Say what you want about Kachi, but he's not a bad speller.

If the OP had googled "Cair FFXIV" a few days ago, he would have found the information he's looking for, but the site has since been taken down at SE's request.

Just in case you're not getting the picture, Kachi was being helpfull, you're the one being an ***.

People are trying to be helpful in a roundabout way by being a little bit tongue-in-cheek with their references. You really have no business getting defensive about it. Smart posters here are not going to start posting links to alpha leak sites or even alpha leak threads on other sites that have thus far managed to stay under SE's radar. It wasn't supposed to be clear at first glance, but someone re-reading it and noticing the italicized parts may have been able to put 2 and 2 together to form a clue.

A good body with a dull brain is as cheap as life itself.

Sigh, kids are so superficial these days. They never look for the higher meaning of things anymore.

Yes I understand that and apologize for sounding like an *** but all these "clues" are useless since everywhere they lead has been removed.

*cough* gamespot forums is also a great spot to discuss the game in both the PC and PS3 forums *cough* :P I love the ZAM forums but for good reason alpha/beta leaks are kept under wraps here whereas other website allow it.

People that are too dumb to follow obvious clues are way too dumb to keep things hidden and end up ruining it for everyone else.
