Yeah, i hear ya. I guess some news is better than no news. It will be hard to top the reaction they got last year when FF XIV was first announced. Personally, I'm also a bit excited about Dungeon Siege 3. I have been a fan of the series from the first one.
Two things of note however, SE still has FFXIV listed for PC/PS3 only, and still a 2010 release date.

I guess this announcement further supports the claim that they are not planning to release FFXIV on the XBOX360.

Unless something is changed, SE at least still wants XIV to be on the 360. As for why it's not going to be so far, that's speculative.

Square Enix won't be having their own press conference this year, so any anouncements will be piggy backing off of different companies. For FFXIV I think if you're after a new trailer, Microsoft are the one to watch. If it IS coming to Xbox 360 they'll use this chance to show it off.

I'm not holding my breath on a 360 launch this time around. In fact, I'm not really going to hold my breath on it coming to 360 at all if it doesn't come at launch. What will they have worked out after launch that they couldn't have before?

If Microsoft is waiting on numbers and SE delivers them with the other two platforms, I wouldn't be surprised if SE thumbs their nose and tells them tough ******* at that point.

Just got to wait and see, but for now I am going with the facts. We know it's coming to PC and Ps3 and that's what I am going to prepare to play on.
