Just recieved an email from GT today claiming SE has officially announced a NEW 3 MINUTE FFXIV trailer will be released tomorrow at 10PM GMT! Source below:

The Gaming Vault received a message from the guys at Square Enix today regarding the release of a trailer for the newest installment in the Final Fantasy series.

“Heads up!

Square Enix are releasing a brand new 3 minute trailer for Final Fantasy XIV tomorrow at 10pm GMT!

We’ll be sending out details regarding where you can get your mitts on these during the day tomorrow.

Have a great day/evening depending on which part of the world you’re currently in!”

Just like Microsoft gave everybody in the audience a new Xbox 360 Slim, including our very own Alex Donaldson, it looks like Square Enix will be handing out trailers for Final Fantasy XIV. Not exactly sure yet what this means. Will the trailers be handed out in DVD format? USB stick? Flip book?

We’ll find out tomorrow morning! Be sure to stay tuned for the latest E3 updates. As soon as we get our hands on this trailer, you can bet the first thing we’re gonna do is show it off for you.

VERY excitinng - Simply can't wait - how I WISH I was there!

Hmmm. Physical copies of a trailer? That seems weird.

I bet there's something else to that. I'd almost say they were speaking in metaphorical terms
of what promotional sites would be showing the trailer to the general public. But, hosting it on the official site goes without saying, and they did use the plural 'these'.

In the very least they're in store for some Swag.
But we are awfully awfully close to Closed Beta.

If they are handing out physical copies, it could very well come with a Beta key. That would explain why they would do that.

If the trailer is passed out in physical format at E3, I'll speculate that it will come on DVD along with the initial release of FFXIV Benchmark which is based on the Beta client. In that latest video on the FFXIV youtube channel, there was a 'Final Fantasy XIV Bench..." folder on their desktop after all.

Update! FFXIVCore have just put up a photo of the official 'FFXIV Virtual Booth'.

It shows a number of user terminals which appear to have the character creation test menu loaded - as seen in the most recent clip released from SE. However, what's most interesting is that it clearly shows a guy interacting with a triple-monitor setup too! It looks as though he may actually be playing a demo (or benchmark)!

Check out the image here!

PS- I question his choice in eyewear in such a dimly lit, indoor booth, very odd looking sunglasses indeed! - FFXIV will be 3D compatible!? You heard it here first! :)

Is no one from ZAM going to be at E3 this year, or is the team more interested in strictly Final Fantasy XIV events?

In that pic it shows FFXIV running with a triple monitor setup, for those of you who were wondering :)

Weird that they'd do that, since E3 is not open to the general public. Or maybe not... maybe they want folks in the game biz reviewing their beta? Bah, whatever happened to XI players getting first dibs?

They did, now it's time to invite everyone else too.
We really want to compete against World of Warcraft and for example the new Star Wars MMO.
