I have a Sony Vaio F Series laptop. 6gb Ram/ i7 processor/ 500gb hdd/ Nvidia Geforce 3300m gt GPU. It exceeds the FFXIV Specs in all but GPU ability.

With some overclocking I've gotten my benchmark score to about 1400. I really want to play this game at PC release and I'm alright with having some degraded quality. Do you all think that I can play FFXIV on this at a functional level? I could wait until the ps3 release, but I really would prefer not to. Thanks for your input!

unless this game is going to be seriously unoptimised i would think you'd be able to run it at less than the benchmarks 720 resolution. (anyone got any info on this?) every game coming out nowadays you can still run in 800-600. its not pretty but you can do it. that would improve the performance quite a bit. also i would think there'd be some scalability by the game is released like disabling shadows etc
