Getting the goggles AND the CE?Follow

It seems you can only get one or the other, going by what I've been reading (And have been told through E-mail responses from SE).
For those with similar experiences from other games (As these pre-order codes are getting more and more common...), when do you actually receieve said code for pre-ordering? When you order? When it arrives? After it arrives? Can you use the code, and then simply return the game? Or will they even allow you to register both pre-order codes for the same account?

I want everything in the CE, but as silly as it is, I really want the goggles. >.>;

When it arrives, and they usually don't let people return MMO's unless it's defective.
Think about it though, when you're done skilling up, the goggles will nigh be useless.
However it seems the Onion Helm will always have a use.

And the goggles may only be a .5% increase or some crap like that.

I don't care about the usefulness. XD
I want 'em 'cause they look cool. They'd be town wear, mostly.

Uhhh from what I understand, you get one from Pre-Ordering and you get one from the collectors edition.

The goggles have limited utility, but will always look smooth.
The helmet will always be useful, but will never stop looking retarded.

This. I'd only go after the goggles for the aesthetics because at some point you'll have capped skill, but we'll all be dying until we quit or they shut the servers down.

Yes. Doesn't matter where or from whom you pre-ordered it, you'll get a code with the game that you'll have to enter to unlock the item BEFORE you start creating characters.

The way Pre-Order items work at gamestop is that you will either get a voucher, a code printed on your final receipt, or a code stuffed in the box by S-E.

The Collector's Edition item will definitely be a code stuff inside the box by S-E, that's how it always works.

The only way you won't get both items if you pre-order a collector's edition is if S-E stuffs the goggles code in regular edition copies and not CE copies.

Both are pre-order items though, the onion helm isn't a code inside copies of the game.

It doesn't mention anything about the goggles being included as a pre-order bonus for the Collector's Edition.
I guess we'll see when it gets closer to release, but as of right now I'm inclined to believe that Standard pre-orders gets the goggles and collector edition pre-orders gets the helm.

I'd love to be wrong though and the CE pre-orders gets both items.

Even though I mainly use Gamestop for all my pre-orders, you have to be kind of careful with dealing with them. Especially when it comes down to bonus pre-order items which require a coupon/code/certificate which physically doesn't come sealed within the game box or the pre-order box. One of my bad experiences was with AoC. They were supposed to hand me a coupon for a War Mammoth when the official game box arrives at stores. It turns out that they magically ran out. I stood there and forced the guy behind the counter to contact every local Gamestop until one was found where they can hand me a coupon. Arrangement were made and I had to drive 10 miles to get the dang pre-order item.

As a Gamestop employee, i can tell you that we do run out. When they send us Rave Cards (thats what they call 'em), they tell us to ensure that if we have more orders than cards (happens almost every time) to go chronologically or by who picked up first, up to the SM's discretion. Recently, we've been doing a lot of receipt codes, where we type in a sku and it prints onto the receipt, so no need for a rave card, and no limit on codes. The only issue with this is that it has to be manually entered into the system, so when you pick up make sure that they do it!

Wonder if I can sweet talk a female employee into giving me a code for the goggles too ;)
