Just a quick thought that might be able to be answered very quickly, but I figured it's worth a shot.
Believe it or not, back in 2002 when I purchased FFXI, my desktop was unable to meet the graphics requirements. In response, I downloaded this program called 3D-Analyze which managed to strip some of the more graphically intensive components from the work-load; via some type of graphics card emulation - and allowed my machine to run the game. (Disclaimer: If I'm misinterpreting what 3D-Analyze actually does as a result of naivete I apologize.)
Anyway, since it seems my boot-camped Macbook Pro is going to have quite a difficult time running this game and the fact there's almost nothing I can do about this issue other than throwing my laptop out the window or buying a PS3, I was wondering if there would be any of this type of emulation software available to help combat low PC specs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
