The subject is a little misleading because I couldn't fit it all in there. What I mean is how many of you are going to start on PC and are going to have friends play the game on PS3 in march? I have 2 long time friends from ffxi that will be playing ffxiv on PS3. So my plan is to try and get max level and as much gil as I can so I am able to help them out when they start playing on PS3. I want to get them leveled up as fast as possible so we can get back to doing end game stuff.

I'm going to be using the PC this September. However we're probably going to pickup a PS3 for Christmas so my wife can play in March.

I would like to have two accounts, so I can play on both platforms (here's hoping). I plan to pre-order the CE to start on 09/22, but I don't think one of my friend's PCs can handle the game, so he will more than likely start in March on PS3. We've already talked about keeping two jobs static. If it turns out that we can keep them static, then I will try one or two of the other jobs. However it works out, we have tons of new stuff to do/see/play with; I think I can stay occupied. I'm not concerned with rushing to do anything early on. I mean, it's brand, spanking new. I think I have a little time to goof off... ^^

As for getting to endgame, a quote about FFXI:
"I had more fun getting to 75 than being 75."
"Unfortunately many game companies are learning that if they can just keep you busy, you might not realize how bored you are." - Kachi
"Pride in your character will amount to nothing more than the level of intimacy I have when I order a burger from McDonald's" - Warfox07
"I find comfort food always helps when I feel like killing myself." - Papashan (FFXIV)

Just pre ordered the CE today, all I want is the 8 days prior permission pass to get the name I want :) other than that, I'm ok to wait until march so all my friends are ready to play. (cuz some of them dun really hv a decent pc to play on sept :/) so im getting both versions.

Depending on how the coordination of several old XI contacts plays out as well as a few IRL friends, I'll probably just start and get my feet wet in the game and work on crafting/gil and save the major leveling push for when all of my friends can play with me in March.

That way we can have fun dieing as noobs together. ;D
