Has there been much discussion either here or in interviews about what purposes TP, MP and HP serve in XIV?

I ask because I was looking over the disciplines and noticed Archer has the ability to sacrifice either HP or MP to replenish their munitions.

Would this suggest that all disciplines will have a native level of MP? Can it be assumed other jobs will have MP-fueled abilities?

HP: You get it depleted, you die.
MP: Can not regenerate except at Aetheryte, you should conserve it.
TP: Abilities can use TP, as well as MP.

Everyone has MP, if that's what you're asking. It doesn't vary with class like it does in XI. In fact, aside from your armor, your stats don't change at all when you change classes.

HP regenerates fairly quickly out of battle; TP depletes fairly quickly.

TP goes up to 3000, rather than 300, and lots of abilities require varied amounts of TP.

Never confuse your inference as the listener for an implication of the speaker.

Good games are subjective like good food is subjective. You're not going to seriously tell me that there's not a psychological basis for why pizza is great and lutefisk is revolting. The thing about subjectivity is that, as subjects go, humans actually have a great deal in common.

That's cool, thanks for the info ^^ I didn't realize TP went that high.
