If you go to the FFXIV main page I'm almost ceratin there is a downloadable benchmark/scorecard that will let you know if you can run it, and how well it can be run on your system.

I'm guessing you're probably gonna score on the low end. Run the benchmark.

I did the benchmark thingy and got different scores.. I don't think that benchmark is very accurate.

The highest score I got on low res was 3023 that was with the Game Booster utility. I set my setting in Nvidia Control Panel to HD/SD 1080P, 1920X1080 and my score was 3196.

Since I have my monitor hooked up to my video card by using a hdmi cable, should I have my resolution set to HD/SD 1080P, 1920X1080 setting or should I use PC 1680X1050?

If anything, you scored higher than I would have expected. For your rig, I was anticipating an 1800-2200. 3000 is A LOT higher than I would have guessed.

Considering you only have a dual core and you're using 8800 GTS, consider yourself blessed and lucky that you got as high as 3000.

You should be able to run low to mid settings with that.

I have a q6600 8800 GTX that scored in 3000 on low as well. You should be fine running it on low.

Yeah I have:

Q9550 @ 3.4GHz
8800GT 512 (oc'ed)
6GB RAM

and I scored ~3600+/- on my system (on low 720p.)

I just hope I can get a good framerate in game.

If not, the GTX 460 is looking good. :)

The game is GPU dependent, if you wanna boost your score get yourself a new GPU, your processor will be fine, the game only uses like 60% cpu
