Really wish people would just list the important specs and not list the unimportant junk like warranty and webcam and wireless...

I'm going to assume, since this is a FFXIV forum, that you're wondering how these laptops will perform specifically with XIV, which has much higher requirements than any other games currently on the market. For any other game, I'd say all three are fine, BUT for FFXIV...

Good processor, but I question how the video card would handle XIV. Probably not very well.

Much better card. Should perform okay.

Even better.

I would suggest the second or the third for FFXIV.

I love my Laptop. I have a HP dv7 "gaming" laptop. I meet all the requirements Except the graphics card... Which is my bottleneck. And since graphic cards cannot be upgraded, I regret I had to learn the hard way.

My suggestion is, if you have to have a laptop, option 2 or 3. But, I'd avoid using a laptop as a gaming pc if I could. You can get get more bang-for-your-buck from a desktop - and it's upgradable. Whereas a laptop is much more restricted in that area.

Don't get any of those. Get an ASUS G73 which comes with an ATI mobility 5870

If you are buying from HP, make sure to check for Microsoft BING cash back.

It has be fluctuating between 30% cash back and 5%. It's at 5% right now, but a couple people on the fatwallet.com hot deals forum have been able to catch it with the 30% cash back today.

Bing.com search term

http://www.bing.com/search?q=hp+direct&go=&form=QBLH&qs=n&sk=

Either way, it should save you a couple bucks, unless you are using a coupon that will take off more. Keep in mind, most of the time if you mix a coupon with BING cash back, Microsoft will cancel the cash back.
