...the FFXI benchmark, that is.

If you haven't played XI in forever and want to feel nostalgic by staring at a bunch of Tarus and Chocobos, or just feel like feeling a little better after the XIV benchmark dashed your hopes and dreams, fire it up.

I did get a laugh at the end when the benchmark was over, and then I got "Error 3: Full screen mode was lost (-1)". Ah, memories.

This might be the best part of XIV.

I'll be happy if this time around they get that players want to alt-tab without having to play in a literal window.

Heh. I decided to try the same thing. I got 9170 for the hi res benchmark. FFXIV is running at aroudn 3k on low res. SIGH.

Definitely made me very nostalgic for FFXI though.

Same here. About 9700 on High for this, I'm getting about 3700 on low in FFXIV. I'm going to milk my 8800GT for all it's worth! :D

My laptop got 8700 on high rez for the ffxi, and i can only pull out 1150 on low rez for the ffxiv... But my laptop is way better then the min requirements to run ffxiv. Looks like i'll be soloing only till they push the PS3 version out. Thats if it runs......

I just got 4800 on high! lol. This makes me even more glad that I just put in an order for upgraded parts! XD

Kinda interesting though with what others have said here. 4800 on high on this FFXI bench, yet it was almost a 1900 on low for the FFXIV one... Well... I guess that's still a bit of a gap. ^^;

Go go 8800GTs! Sounds like my new mid grade stuff doesn't quite cut it... I wonder how much it'd improve if I got a new video card. Hrm... good thing my birthday is soon ish. ;)
