Hi all.
Been running the benchmark and have been receiving around 2600 on high / 4700 on low. running a q9550 quad cpu @ 2.83 / radeon HD 5770 / ddr3 1333mhz 4gig / nforce 790i ultra mobo.

My question is will FFXIV be recognizing SLI / crossfire gpu configurations. Im looking to push my benchmark score around 3500, and if crossfire is recognized upon release it will be a cheap way to gain a few hundred in the scores. (790i mobo was released with drivers that recognize crossfire configs, so no mobo rage plz ; )

Ill be running a over-clocked system at release, pushing the memory to 1666mhz / cpu to 3.2, or higher depending on temps.
thanks for the help

Yes, FFXIV will support crossfire and sli. The benchmark actually recognizes's just in windowed mode which, as I understand it, doesn't work with crossfire and sli. There's an easy way to fix it though...the instructions to do it is in a thread somewhere around here.

I have a q9550 cpu with a nforce 790i sli ftw board. Not sure which one between the two is better. Also running 4gig of dd3 ram @1333mhz. I only have a gts 250 atm and scored about the same as you on high and a bit lower on the low. And that was with my cpu OC'd to 3.54.

So im pretty sure when you do OC your system you will get the numbers you want. Then if you are adding a 2nd GPU in crossfire then your golden. I'm still a novice to it all and am learning so maybe someone else has better info.

edit: also not sure the differences between our mobo's, but i did end up pushing my cpu to 4.1 but was getting a tad hot running prime95 (close to 70C, still in spec but way to close for me). So i am going to get a better CPU cooler then this crappy aftermarket one i bought. If you have a good case, with good airflow then 3.5 or higher really shouldnt be a problem. I bought the Cooler Master HAF 932 at it works wonders :)
