Benchmark scoring and CPU / GPU usage percentageFollow

Wondering on the results of benchmarking and cpu / gpu usage on High setting.
Average results is around 2500 using a intel core 2 quad q9550 overclocked to 3303mHz / ddr3 1333 / ATI HD 5770.
Using task manager and GPU-Z to record the vid card and processor usage percentages reports that the 4 cpu cores are working together at around 17% to 25% (not including load screens) and the GPU pushing 90 - 91%.

Been contemplating buying another HD 5770 to crossfire. These percentages i assume reflect that the current GPU is restricting benchmark scores? (ps. i cant afford a ripping 3d gfx card ie. HD 5970, another 5770 means 2 minute noodles 24/7 until i finish this PHD ;(

What increase should be expected with a crossfired HD 5770?

From what I can tell Dual 5770's run performance wise just under 1 5870.

Easily over 3k at stock clock. Easily over 4k when OCed.

Edit: I see stock clocks usually doing about 3.7k.

Heres the problem with that as I see it

a.) I see the same thing that my cpu is doing like 25% load its a i7 - 930, but heres the thing if I OC it the banchmark score goes up up up. So why is the benchmark going up when the extra power I'm giving the cpu is not even needed/used? who knows lol.

b.) the benchmark does not use multi gpu's so theres no way to tell you. I have 2 gtx 480's but get same score with sli enabled or disabled. I can tell you my score goes up around 80% on benchmarks that do support sli such as heaven 2.1 benchmark. and with 3d vision enabled the scored almost doubles with sli compared to 1 gpu.

Here is what I see with my Q9550 with a GTX295 running it at fullscreen. Everything is stock, no OCing.

Single GPU: ~90%
CPU: ~25% across all 4
Benchmark: 2300ish

Two GPU: ~42% each
CPU: ~25% across all 4
Benchmark: 3990

I did hear that a system using an Intel Q6600, DDR2-2GB-800, and a PX8800GT ran the beta just fine. I'm not going to stress over it anymore. If anything, I'll pickup some more memory since it's not too expensive.

The benchmark wasn't made for testing SLI/Xfire. Forcing it to enable full screen and your second GPU, I believe, makes the results very inaccurate.
