Use promo code EMCYVNV39 to get 10% off on a few NVidia Fermi cards.

For example, GTX 460 1GB for $207 shipped if you use the code:

Dang...so now that these are essentially the same price as ATI's 5830...Should I go with a Fermi? I noticed the GTX 460 did slightly better on GPU tests than the 5830. I was going to buy the 5830 based solely on price...but now I am confused.

This is exactly why I would wait until the last week or so before release to buy a new PC. Prices will only come down, and they will ALWAYS come down. Give yourself just enough time with your new equipment to make sure it works and you have all the wrinkles ironed out. No doubt by the middle of Sept you will be able to grab a GTX 260 for $200 every day of the week.

Once you make your purchase do yourself a favor and stop looking at PC parts or you will drive yourself insane.

I would get the 460 over the 5830. But I would get the 5850 over both.

there is also a 10% bing cashback with newegg. I'm still waiting to find a deal where the 5850 is less than $220.

here's one.

I just ordered the evga GTX 460 from tigerdirect.com for $170 after 15% bing cashback.

Tigerdirect works better for me because I am in CA, so I don't have to pay the tax as I would for newegg. I still had to pay about $7 shipping though.

This deal also comes with a code to get Just Cause 2 download for free. Not sure if it's the full version or not though... I know with the new Starcraft II free download deals, its just the trial version of Starcraft II.

It looks like they raised the price already, and took off the free Just Cause 2 from "EVGA 768-P3-1360-TR" version of the video card I got. These deals don't last very long.
