I think it's like a diploma... except it won't get you a job

I think it'll be something like the "Adventurer's Certificate" in FFXI, except irl and with your name(or character's name) on it.

I'm not in the beta(unfortunately) so this is just conjecture, but I assume everyone starts their journey in Eorzea aboard that ship from the benchmark right? Perhaps it's a copy of the ticket (right of passage) that let's you board the ship, something neat you can hang on your wall.

Actually from what I've read, that ship opening is just the opening scene for the players who start in Limsa Lominsa. I'm sure there will be different scenes for Ul'dah and Gridania.

~Edit~
Woops, forgot to answer the op's question. I honestly have no idea what it could be, but I'm already loving the travel journal and onion helm, so everything else is just gravy~

Well actually if it gets you an in game item or something then right now it's better than a diploma. xD

Lol I never considered that, but it makes perfect sense :D I really can't wait to see the other two openings if that's the case, I'm sure they'll be amazing.

Right of Passage Diploma > Any University of Phoenix Diploma. It's a thousand times better and tens of thousands cheaper.

I was thinking either something like the Adventurer's Certificate or perhaps a chance to jump servers. Just in case you rush in to play just to find all your friends are on another server.

I'm casting my vote as well for it being a diploma-like certificate.

It'll come with a voucher that you fill out and send it to recieve your personalised "Right of Passage", that you can then...well, look at.

Whatever it is, I'm gonna hang it on the wall of my moghouse and/or wall of my guild hall.
If it's an IRL certificate, I'll write my name on it with a red crayola crayon and hang it by my new computer.
