I don't know what's worse...

The fact that the governor of my state has officially signed a proclamation of 9/21/2010 as "Civilization V Day" in honor of its release...

...or the fact that FFXIV comes out one day after.

GFDI.

Great to have options, eh? I wasn't huge on Civ 4, so I'm not all that worried about the choice.

Civ Rev, on the other hand... that game took more hours from my life than just about any game in recent memory. Definitely the most of any non-mmo. It was like RISK! And Risk is awesome. Unfortunately, it was like risk in that, if you started playing in the afternoon, you might soon realize that you forgot to sleep that night.

Wow, had no idea he was based in Maryland, makes me love the game even more :D

Kind of sad that there's so many great games that I want to play coming out at the same time, gonna be hard to find the time! I guess I could cancel that whole "college" thing...

Yeah, my dream job was that I wanted to design video games but never went for it, because there are only two places in MD that do it; Behthesda and Firaxis. Both of which I'd love to work for, but if I apply to both and neither are hiring, then my only employment options are out of state. -WAY- out of state.

I would love to work for a video game company. My life would be just like the movie Grandma's Boy, minus all the drugs.

What's the point in working for a video game company instead of having a real job if you don't get to do a bunch of drugs? It's really the only advantage I can think of to working at a minimum wage job with long hours, doing mind-numbingly repetitive tasks. Seriously, game testing sucks.

Don't feel bad. It's common that I have to explain even the most common of memes. That being said, I'm not sure how people live on the internet and don't know this stuff.

Just because you say "FFXIV" in the OP does not make it FFXIV-related.

I've tried.
