I ran this site through Babelfish, what can I say, I'm desprate for info? It seems to be a short story about some RMT countermeasures by using NPCs. Only problem is Babelfish chopped the language up so bad that I can't make too much sense of it.

September.

I sent a copy to a buddy of mine that's fluent in German. He wrote back...

"basically its talking about a special NPC thats going to be hunting bots, a new teleportation system for players and how its going to be late getting to the PS3. also it states that its in closed beta right now."

A bot-hunting NPC...interesting.

I asked him if it went into detail about the teleportation and he responded with...

"Instead of having to run an instance completely, you can teleport to points already discovered. A Teleporter appears in each case for a short time, so that the player can teleport himself with renewed entering of an instance not up to the boss. not to sure on the "renewed entering" bit, doesnt translate well."

Hmm. Not really anything bablefish didn't tell us. Sorry.

The teleportation's interesting though. Sounds like travel will be much easier. Well, with healing and teleportaion both taken care of, looks like the whm is a thing of the past. Looks like I got to find myself a new profession. *weak grin*

Interesting... an RMT hunting NPC that can't be killed, lol. Hope it doesn't bug out and target innocent players who are just farming Smiley: eek

It states that what is already in closed beta? The teleport system, or the anti bot-bot?

I think the "closed beta" is meaning the whole thing, as in only those invited can beta test at this time.

^^ Not quite what I was meaning. Which of the two system's is he referring to already being in the closed beta? The teleporting thing or the npc bot?

It doesn't specificly mention if either are currently part of the CB, only that FFXIV is currently in CB stage.

I'd love to hear more about how an NPC bot detects bots.

If the NPC-bot is a bot-hunting-bot, can we try to convince it to hunt itself? They'll probably be able to detect their own kind (i.e. things SE itself put in the game), but I'd like to toss that logic through its algorithm and see what it does.

Probably some anti-seppuku logic in there I would hope Smiley: laugh

In FFXIV Square Enix wants to seek out Farmbots with special NPC's and a new Teleportersystem should bring you faster through all instances.
PS3-Fans have to wait longer for FF14.
Developer Square Enix published new Details for his upcoming MMO FF14. In an Interview the producer's published they want to add special NPC's which can scan the behaviour of Players. If a Player shows to many attributes of (like) a "Farmbot", these special NPC's will attack that Player and kill him - these Farmbot Killers are of high level and almost unbeatable.
Also new informations about a Teleportersystem were released. Instead of having to run an instance completely back, you will be able to teleport yourself to a "Point" ( Teleporterpoint inbetween the instance !? ) which you already discovered.
A Teleporterpoint always appears only for a short time, so that players who entering an instance again cant just teleport themselfes to a Boss.

The reason for delayed PS3 Release SE said, are problems with the RAM of the PS3. Until now the Release for FF14 on PS3 is unknown.

Fallout 3 spoiler: Actually, once you find out that John Henry Eden is a computer, you can convince him to self destruct with a logical paradox.

Woah, the NPC bot sounds cool.

However given my luck and my love of solo-grinding, I'll probably be flagged.

Like Mikhalia I'd like to know what it is they are looking for.

Indeed. I mean, it's nice to have a system to flag suspicious activity but it's better to have a human being sitting behind the nuke button to verify things. All it takes is 30 seconds for a GM to send someone a tell and figure out if they end up with someone who has the day off of work and felt like grinding for 10 hours or if they end up with "my grass you whole family".

Lousy cake - I guess it's ok, because I'm still alive.
